Description: Single core and multi-core cables with copper conductors, PVC insulated, unarmoured or armoured and PVC sheathed. These cables are most suitable for underground burial where there is a risk of mechanical damage. The cables are designed for continuous operation at a maximum conductor temperature of 70°C Specification:  According to MS274, BS 6346 Rated voltage : 600 / 1000V Construction Conductors: The conductors shall be circular stranded or sector shaped copper stranded wires. Insulation: PVC compound type TI 1 Identification of cores: Single core - red or black Two-core - red and black Three-core - red, yellow and blue Four-core - red, yellow, blue and black Five-core and above - (number) 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.... (auxiliary cables), and the numbers shall be blue or black printed on white cores. Laying up (assembling): The cores of cables having two or more cores shall be laid up to form a compact and circular cable. Where necessary, non-hygroscopic fillers may be applied. Bedding: Extruded black PVC Compound or lapped PVC tapes. Armour: The armour shall consists of a single layer of galvanised steel wires. Where single-core cables are armoured with non-magnetic material, such as aluminium wire. Sheath: Black PVC compound type TM1.
